Same shop, same GC license, same standards — a separate lane so small jobs don't wait behind whole-home remodels.
Contractors On Call is the small-job division of Revolution Contractors LLC, a Florida general contractor based in St. Petersburg. Revolution builds custom homes and does whole-home remodels. Contractors On Call does the leaky sliding glass door, the popped drywall seam, the plaster ceiling crack, the wood window that won't close. Same owners, same crew, same GC license.

There's a gap in the St. Petersburg market that a lot of homeowners have run into. The unlicensed handyman can't pull permits when a small job turns out to need one. The full-service remodel contractor isn't interested in a half-day patch. So the small stuff ends up getting patched twice, or waiting months for someone with the right license to have a Tuesday afternoon free.
Contractors On Call fills that gap on purpose. Same licensed general contractor, same crew depth — routed to the smaller scopes instead of turning them away.
There's a second reason it exists, and this one comes straight from how Jeremy and Thad think about the business. Revolution has grown from about $3 million to $7 million in annual revenue over the last few years, mostly on the strength of larger projects — $500K-plus custom homes, whole-home remodels, additions in the coastal neighborhoods. That growth is real, but it means the business is more exposed to any one client's project delay or any macroeconomic softness that would cause capital-heavy clients to pause. Standing up Contractors On Call as a real small-job division makes the whole company more resilient. Small jobs run counter-cyclically to big-project timelines. If a large remodel pauses because of a market wobble, small-repair demand tends to hold or grow. It's not the whole strategy — but it's part of why we're building this division out with the same care we'd give a Snell Isle custom home.
A Florida CRC + CGC license is the same credential you'd expect from the contractor doing a full remodel. We just also do the wall patch, the door track, the window sash. Licensed work at a small-job cadence — that's the whole positioning.
If the job grows or needs a permit, we pull it. A handyman can't. We can — same crew, no second contractor to coordinate.
Plaster ceilings, original wood windows, terrazzo floors — the 1950s repairs other handymen call "not their thing." We work on them regularly through the parent side of the business, so they aren't a specialty upcharge for us. Plumbing and electrical incidental to that work get routed to our trusted licensed trade partners.
Contractors On Call is a d/b/a of Revolution Contractors LLC (Sunbiz filing G26000082501). The parent company builds custom homes and does whole-home remodels across the coast. Small-job work runs through Contractors On Call so it doesn't compete for the same schedule slots — but the crew, the license, the insurance, and the standards are shared. When you hire us for a small job you're hiring the same operation that also does $2 million custom builds. Just routed to the correct lane.
Every job — big or small — runs through the same discipline. On the Revolution side, that means a superintendent, a scheduled walkthrough, a written scope, and a punch-list phase before final client sign-off. On the Contractors On Call side, the scope is smaller so the process compresses, but the discipline doesn't change:
Photo-to-quote is the fastest path. Most single handyman repairs land in the $150 to $500 range. Grouped punch lists and small construction scopes typically run $500 to $3,000. Our billing rate for small jobs is $75 an hour with a one-hour minimum. Larger scopes on the Revolution side use Time & Materials with a defined markup and open-book cost reporting — different model, same honesty.
The one thing we're strict about: no padded estimates. If a scope is genuinely uncertain, we say so and quote a range with the reason for the range spelled out. If a scope is well-defined, we quote a fixed number and stand behind it. What we won't do is quote a padded number to cover unknowns and pocket the difference when the unknowns don't materialize.
Certificate of insurance available on request — usually needed for condo HOA portals and property-management portals. Send the portal contact and we'll upload it directly.

Jeremy Wharton and Thad Bonnewell run the shop. When you call, you're reaching one of them or someone reporting directly to them — not a national franchise call center, not a lead-broker dispatcher. The crew that does your small job is the same crew that would do the finish carpentry on a Revolution custom home. Different scope, same hands.
Both sides of the business run under the same values: honest scope, honest pricing, disciplined process. We're trying to build the kind of shop where the client relationship persists past the current job — where you call us in three years for the next small thing because we did the small thing right the first time.
St. Petersburg core, all of Pinellas County within reasonable drive time, and out into western Hillsborough when the job justifies it. Neighborhoods we work in most consistently:

Being honest about scope is part of the value. Some work is a poor fit for us — it's better for you if we tell you up front:
