We're licensed Florida general contractors (CRC1331628 + CGC1522463) who do small jobs. Most handymen aren't licensed. We are.
If the job grows or needs a permit, we pull it. A handyman can't. We can — same crew, no second contractor to coordinate.
1920s-1950s St. Pete homes use trim profiles you can't buy off the shelf today — deep crown, wide casings, tall baseboards with a specific reveal. We source close matches from specialty millwork suppliers when we can, and we mill custom on the router table when we can't. Small trim job on an old home usually turns into a profile-matching problem before it becomes a carpentry problem.

Wood rot in coastal Pinellas is chronic — the humidity keeps organic material soft, salt air chews sealant seams, and hurricane-driven rain finds every gap. Our fix is standard for the region: cut back to sound wood (probe with an awl to confirm you're past the soft zone), splice in matching stock, prime and seal every cut edge, and re-flash if the rot came from an exterior source. If the rot is more than 6 inches into a member or the member is structural, we quote replacement instead of splice.
Some carpentry work legally requires a permit — even at small scope. Sistering a joist under a bathroom floor, rebuilding a door jamb in a load-bearing wall, patching structural framing after rot. Most handymen can't pull those permits. We can — under the same GC license the parent side uses on custom homes. Same crew, one inspection cycle, no second contractor to coordinate.
